Catalyst chess academy lives up to its name. Our son has been learning chess from them for the past 1.5 years and has learned a great deal so far. Upendra has this niche skill of engaging kids of young age so well that he entertains kids to be what they are while at the same time he disciplining them to learn chess tricks and strategies. Upendra goes the extra mile to understand the kids' situation and behavioral aspects and even engages the right people (like sports psychologists, mentors, etc.) to remove any obstacles to learning and excelling in Chess. Hello, this is Dr. Bhargavi. Two years back I enrolled my little brother in chess classes at Catalyst Chess Academy. The academy has played huge role in improving his game, which not only helped him win international FIDE rating and competitions but also helped in his overall growth. The weekly dose of chess puzzles by Upendra Sir and games with other kids also gave a slice of the competitive boost to his personality. Chess is not just a game, it's an exercise your mind needs quite similar to the physical exercise needed for your body at the gym. We heard about Catalyst Academy (Mr. Upendra's chess classes) through one of our Cousin and we enrolled our son for chess classes. Within a short span of time, we realized that our son is making decent progress with his moves and chess-playing skills. Mr. Upendra's teaching methods & skills both practically and theoretically has helped my son moving to a level where he is able to solve medium-complex puzzles without taking much time and he is able to compete with other kids who have the same or higher rating than him. It has given me an opportunity for my son, to develop critical thinking skills and increase confidence. We strongly believe that this Academy and especially Mr. Upendra has not only come up with a tremendous amount of chess knowledge but also with strategic thinking skills they carry with them to all types of problem-solving encounters. Chess has changed my daughter’s world. Upendra Sir has a pivotal role to play for the same. From the overactive kid she was, I can now see her change into a patient strategist and all thanks to the game and excellent coaching. My daughter Shreyashree Patil, going to ambassador school Dubai. since 1 st grade, she has chess in her school but she never played nicely 😞 she doesn't like to play chess at all. One of my friends Practice Shetty suggest this class and I joined this class, after joining she don't like to do but slowly slowly with Upendra sir she likes to play chess ♟ she improved a lot .last week she told me her school teacher has appreciated her work.
